About the position
The Housekeeping Porter position at Commercial and Residential Management Group (CRMG) is a vital role responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of a 284-unit apartment community located in Albany, OR. This position requires a keen attention to detail and a collaborative team player attitude to ensure that all common areas, vacant apartments, and property grounds are kept in pristine condition. The Housekeeping Porter will work under the direction of the Property Manager and the Maintenance Supervisor, following established cleaning protocols and schedules to uphold the community's standards. The role is part-time, with a schedule of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, totaling 24 hours per week. The hourly rate for this position is $18.00, and employees will receive a monthly cell phone stipend of $50.00. Benefits become available on the first of the month following 30 days of employment, including dental and vision insurance, employer-paid life insurance, and voluntary insurance options. Additionally, employees can enroll in a 401(k) program with an employer match after 90 days of employment, and they will have access to an Employee Assistance Program from their first day. Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain assigned areas of the property, including common areas, vacant apartments, and property grounds.
- Follow cleaning protocols as directed by the Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are used according to instructions and safety guidelines.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
- Previous janitorial experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and products for janitorial duties.
- A current valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and proof of auto insurance.
- Must be motivated, efficient, and able to follow instructions and work individually or as part of a team.
- Ability to read, write, and understand written instructions and labels on cleaning supplies.
- Awareness and ability to adhere to all landlord/tenant laws, State and Federal Laws, and Fair Housing Laws.
