Administration of Human Resource Programs

About the position

The Human Resources Business Operations Team within the Department of Human Resources (DHR) seeks an innovative, driven, and customer-focused HR Application Lead (Origami). Reporting to the Operations Manager, the HR Application Lead (Origami) will provide daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer assistance related to the implementation and refinement of HR software applications. This position will play a key role in translating the business needs of multiple enterprise business partners into system functionality that supports the employee lifecycle. In partnership with DHR leadership and related business experts, it will help determine business requirements and conduct process analysis, prioritization, training, and administration of HR systems and technologies, with a focus on Origami Risk, a case management system. The HR Application Lead (Origami) will administer DHR's Origami client which is focused on human resources activities. This includes multiple form sets, workflows, security, reporting, interfaces, and client defined entity tables. They will engage with human resource, labor, King County Origami Administrator, and subject matter experts across the County to provide guidance, training, and auditing of system functionality. This role will lead development, analysis, and project management activities for forms and workflows, including planning, design, implementation, integration, and its associated processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support and ongoing administration of DHR's Origami client.
  • Configure system and functions according to business standards and best practices, ensuring they support the records life cycle in an integrated manner.
  • Partner with project teams and research system functionality to help shape business strategy development.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate technical training documents and programs for DHR's Origami client. Train end-users.
  • Collaborate with vendors, internal partners, and King County's Origami Administrator to analyze and configure system functionality.
  • Manage system enhancements and provide change management guidance to HR partners and leadership across departments.
  • Design forms and workflows to support various case management needs.
  • Work with project teams to develop and document system standard work and continuously improve program services.
  • Apply records management policies for case management records in partnership with DHR leadership and Policy team.
  • Use a digital ticketing solution to troubleshoot and resolve system issues and challenges.
  • Develop queries, reports, dashboards, and metrics to audit the system, support decision-making, and integrate data with other human resource data sources.
  • Design testing processes and procedures to ensure new functionality in the test environment prior to production launch.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Human Resources, or related area.
  • Direct technical work experience in Case Management systems.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and education which provides the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge, and ability required to perform the work.
