About the position

The HR Compliance Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the HR Compliance team by assisting applicants with the completion of necessary materials and background check forms. This position is responsible for processing all Justice Center and OPWDD background checks, setting up fingerprinting appointments, and verifying education, licensure, and certification for prospective and existing employees. The coordinator will assess driver abstracts and track the qualified driving status of applicants and employees using the LENS motor vehicle system, acting as a liaison between TAT team members and various company programs. In this role, the HR Compliance Coordinator will review employment applicants and assist candidates throughout the onboarding process, particularly concerning background checks and driver status assessments. The coordinator will process education and licensure verifications for both prospective and current employees, ensuring that all information is accurately updated in the Excel spreadsheet and HRIS systems. A key responsibility includes determining the driving status of all applicants and current employees who drive agency vehicles or require a valid driver's license for their positions, utilizing the LENS management system to maintain up-to-date records. The coordinator will also communicate with programs via email when an employee becomes an unqualified driver, requesting necessary follow-up from both the program and the employee. Additionally, the role involves assisting with the processing of all OPWDD background checks, including SEL, CBC, SCR, and MHL requests, while serving as a liaison regarding safety assessments, notifications of criminal arrests, and tracking of court cases. The HR Compliance Coordinator will assist with the credentialing of clinical providers, manage documentation, and help schedule HR and fingerprinting appointments with Morpho Trust for new hires. Maintaining compliance-related documentation and performing additional related duties as needed are also essential aspects of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Review employment applicants and assist candidates with the onboarding process regarding background checks and driver status assessments.
  • Process education/licensure verifications for prospective and existing employees and update Excel spreadsheet and HRIS accordingly.
  • Determine the driving status of all applicants and current employees who drive agency vehicles and/or require a valid driver's license for their position; use the LENS management system to update all current employees' driving status.
  • Make updates on HRIS system (UltiPro) regarding driver status accordingly.
  • Add and remove as needed all new hires and applicants requiring a qualified Driver's License from the LENS system in a timely manner.
  • Communicate to programs via email when an employee becomes an unqualified driver and request follow-up from program and employee as necessary.
  • Assist with the processing of all OPWDD background checks including the SEL, CBC, SCR, and MHL requests.
  • Function as a liaison between employee and program regarding safety assessments needed, notification of criminal arrests, and tracking of court cases.
  • Assist with credentialing of clinical providers and manage documentation in files and UKG.
  • Assist with scheduling HR and fingerprinting appointments with Morpho Trust for new hires and assist new hires with the completion of background check forms.
  • Make updates to Excel tracking sheet and the Justice Center website for all OPWDD required background checks and status information.
  • Issue and terminate gas pins using WEX system for all agency drivers.
  • Maintain and file all Compliance related documentation accordingly.
  • Perform additional related duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Computer proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Applications required.
