About the position

As the HR Employee Relations Specialist at Loffler Companies, you will lead the development and implementation of strategies to enhance the employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle. This role involves collaborating with HR leadership to assess and improve existing initiatives, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and fostering a positive workplace culture. You will be responsible for overseeing training programs, serving as a point of contact for employee inquiries, and conducting assessments to drive continuous improvement, ultimately contributing to the organization's overall success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of strategies to enhance the overall employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to assess and improve existing employee experience initiatives, policies, and programs.
  • Manage the design and delivery of onboarding and orientation programs for new hires.
  • Organize and present employee training programs.
  • Provide training and coaching to managers on best practices for managing employee relations.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees to discuss workplace issues.
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints and conflicts.
  • Ensure planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees.
  • Schedule management conferences with employees and hear and resolve employee grievances.
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements.
  • Draft and implement corrective actions when necessary, ensuring fair and consistent practices in alignment with company policies and regulations.
  • Conduct regular assessments and surveys to measure employee satisfaction and engagement, analyze data, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Direct support for Senior Management and Management on employee issues, compliance, and day-to-day operations of the workforce.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in employee experience and make recommendations for enhancements to existing programs and policies.
  • Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to HR team members on employee experience-related matters and support their professional development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture that fosters employee satisfaction, retention, and organizational success.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
  • Complete human resource operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
  • Work directly with HR Management Team on department and company initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support in various HR areas, including recruiting and onboarding.
  • Assist managers with termination meetings, exit interviews, and processing termination paperwork.
  • Complete unemployment paperwork and hearings.
  • Support the maintenance of optimal function of the HRIS and assist with data security and documentation of system changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in employee relations and employment law.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work and interact effectively with employees throughout the organization.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
