About the position

The position at CommonSpirit Health involves promoting and protecting the organization's integrity while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and protocols. The role is centered around enhancing the People experience for associates, physicians, and leaders, and requires collaboration with Legal and Human Resources departments. The incumbent will lead employee relation activities, conduct investigations, and provide recommendations to improve workplace practices.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and protect CommonSpirit Health's integrity.
  • Evaluate, interpret, and provide input on policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and protocols.
  • Lead and provide guidance on employee relation activities, including consulting and training.
  • Conduct basic and complex investigations and provide recommendations based on findings.
  • Develop position statements and manage legal responses in collaboration with the Legal department.
  • Evaluate and manage employment trends across the system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, including leadership roles.
  • 4 years of experience with Employee Relations.
  • Demonstrated experience with complex investigations and composing EEOC position statements and other legal correspondence.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in employment law.
  • Ability to listen and persuasively convey opinions and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to interact at all levels.
  • Ability to be viewed as approachable and objective.
  • Proven critical thinking skills.
