About the position

Perkins Coie is seeking a highly skilled and proactive HR Executive Assistant (EA) to support the Chief People Officer (CPO) and the Human Resources Department. This role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at managing executive-level administrative responsibilities. As the HR Executive Assistant, you will serve as the CPO’s right hand, ensuring seamless management of the CPO’s daily operations, including calendar coordination, travel arrangements, meeting preparations, correspondence, and confidential document flow. You will also play a key role in supporting the HR Directors by scheduling meetings, tracking project timelines, and organizing team events.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the CPO’s complex schedule, coordinate travel arrangements, and process expense reports.
  • Prepare the CPO for meetings by ensuring all necessary documents and materials are organized and available.
  • Serve as a liaison between senior leadership, attorneys, and staff, facilitating clear communication across the firm.
  • Organize and maintain confidential records and work in document management systems.
  • Draft and proofread reports, memos, meeting minutes, and presentations.
  • Oversee department budgets, track expenses, and coordinate with the Budgeting team.
  • Plan and schedule HR team meetings, partner discussions, committee sessions, and firm-wide events.
  • Provide backup assistance for various HR functions as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience supporting senior executives, preferably in a law firm or professional services setting.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High level of professionalism, executive presence, and a positive, team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to anticipate needs, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required.
  • Experience or interest in Human Resources beneficial.
