About The Position

The HR Generalist at Showcase Windows and Doors Co., LLC is responsible for managing various HR functions including payroll processing, benefits administration, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and maintaining the HR Information System (HRIS). This role collaborates closely with the HR Manager to ensure effective HR operations across the organization, particularly for both Showcase and Hayfield Window and Door benefits.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish is required.
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Experience in an HR Generalist role overseeing HR services for 150+ employees.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or human resources with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Above average written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good presentation skills and ability to maintain effective relationships with all levels of associates.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the HR Manager.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll activities including PTO entries, compensation changes, and garnishments.
  • Coordinate payroll-related activities with the Accounting Supervisor and resolve employee payroll concerns.
  • Review and maintain payroll best practices to improve efficiency.
  • Partner with the HR Manager to assess staffing needs and conduct recruitment activities.
  • Schedule interviews and assist in the selection of qualified candidates.
  • Administer background checks and drug screens for new hires.
  • Present new-hire orientation and benefits presentations to employees.
  • Maintain knowledge of personnel changes and ensure HR systems are updated accordingly.
  • Address employee relations concerns and escalate serious matters as needed.
  • Process daily health and retirement benefits, including new enrollments and life events.
  • Oversee FMLA and disability claims processing for employees.
  • Ensure compliance filings and reporting are completed timely with the benefit broker.
  • Plan and communicate wellness initiatives and benefit programs to employees.
  • Maintain HR electronic data accuracy and integrity in various systems.
  • Process US HR-related invoices and resolve discrepancies with AP.
  • Create and maintain electronic employee personnel files and ensure compliance with EEO requirements.
