About the position

The HR Solutions Generalist position at Sandia National Laboratories focuses on providing comprehensive support in the areas of administration, compensation, benefits, and training operations. The role is designed for individuals passionate about human resources and aims to ensure accurate, timely, and excellent service to employees and managers. The selected candidate will work onsite and may be involved in various HR functions, responding to inquiries, processing transactions, and participating in continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to phone and online inquiries from employees and managers at all levels.
  • Resolve questions and issues by accessing information in multiple computer systems (e.g., Oracle Service Cloud, PeopleSoft, ProMapp, and MS Word).
  • Work independently to process transactions in support of HR functions by collecting required information/documentation.
  • Perform data entry and send and file documents and correspondence.
  • Assist customers navigating internal resources on self-service and HR technology tools.
  • Set priorities independently for completing work and manage time to meet target dates and objectives; perform quality reviews.
  • Assist and train new team members.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts and work on special HR assignments and projects.

Requirements

  • A High School diploma; or equivalent experience and/or achievements that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job.
  • 3 years' experience in a Human Resources or related role.
  • The ability to acquire and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, English, Psychology, or Marketing.
  • Experience working in a shared services environment using HRIS systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, HCM, and Oracle Service Cloud).
  • The ability to protect and keep personally identifiable information (PII), personal health information, and other sensitive information confidential.
  • A positive demeanor, strong communication skills, and keen attention to detail.
  • A demonstrated ability to work independently while ensuring work is completed on-time and accurately.
  • An active DOE-L level security clearance; or other equivalent active security clearance such as DOD Secret.
