About the position

The HR/Sr Compensation Analyst role at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) involves providing high-level professional support in compensation and benefits administration. This position serves as a resource for HR and management regarding salary programs and compensation policies, while also conducting job analyses and market studies to ensure competitive compensation practices. The analyst will collaborate with HR and organizational leaders to process compensation requests and implement process improvements, contributing to the strategic initiatives of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provides high-level professional support to HR/Compensation Analyst, employees, and management.
  • Serves as a resource regarding salary programs, compensation policies, and practices.
  • Partners closely with HR and organization leaders to review and process compensation requests.
  • Anticipates and plans for long-term HR and organizational needs and trends, providing guidance and recommending changes related to policies and practices.
  • Identifies opportunities and implements process improvements.
  • Provides timely and accurate data analyses/analytics to Management and others to support strategic initiatives.
  • Conducts job analyses and market studies for positions throughout the organization.
  • Creates, revises, reviews, and audits job descriptions for accuracy and consistency.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field.
  • Four (4) years of directly related professional work experience.
  • Knowledge of compensation and core HR practices.
  • Familiarity with a human resources information system (HRIS).
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft (MS) Word proficiency.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, v-lookup, and data reporting).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with quickly changing business needs.
  • Professional demeanor in difficult and challenging situations.
  • Team player attitude and serves as a role model to managers, peers, and the organization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in HR, business, or related field.
  • Prior experience in healthcare.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) from World at Work.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from HRCI.
  • Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from HRCI.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP from SHRM.
