About The Position

The HS IT Manager will oversee business and non-clinical applications within the Health Services Information Technology unit. This role involves managing an independent IT work unit, supervising staff, and leading complex IT projects. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills to ensure effective application support and system management in a healthcare environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Medical Informatics, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• Four years of experience as a manager or project manager in a healthcare IT environment.
• Experience in application support, development, systems analysis, or technical support.
• Certification may be required for specific applications within 6 months of notification.

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree in a related field can substitute for one year of experience.
• Epic certifications, CAHIMS, HL7 certification, or VMware certifications can substitute for education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee business and non-clinical applications including ERPs and HCMs.
• Manage an independent information technology work unit or serve as a project manager on complex IT projects.
• Supervise subordinate professional and technical staff.
• Lead operational activities for assigned information systems work group.
• Select, train, motivate, and evaluate IT personnel.
• Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, and review the work of staff responsible for application development and support.
• Manage assigned projects and budgets, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulations.
• Analyze information systems requirements and implement process improvements.
• Provide technical leadership in software and hardware selection and implementation.
• Conduct research on new technologies and recommend improvements.
