About The Position

The Human Resources Associate (Temporary) role is designed to support the Human Resources department during a leave of absence, expected to last from January to June. The Associate will assist with various HR functions including hiring, onboarding, payroll processing, and general HR inquiries, ensuring smooth operations within the department under the guidance of the Assistant Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• At least three years of primary generalist responsibility in Human Resources.
• Experience in private sector higher education is preferred.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with HRIS systems, particularly Workday.
• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Support the overall administration and coordination of the Human Resources department.
• Assist with the hiring and onboarding process, including processing position requests and scheduling interviews.
• Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll through Workday, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Review time and attendance records and resolve discrepancies with supervisors.
• Manage leave of absence requests and workers' compensation claims in collaboration with the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources.
• Coordinate HRIS data activities in Workday and Vector Solutions LMS, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Assist with performance review processes and conduct position audits.
