The Human Resources Supervisor position is a critical role that involves supervising and coordinating the activities of both professional and administrative support employees. This position is responsible for various aspects of human resources management, including employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, employment, labor relations, affirmative action, and employment equity programs. The supervisor will ensure that all HR policies and practices are effectively implemented at the assigned location, aligning with corporate standards and requirements. In this role, the supervisor will oversee the day-to-day administration of personnel policies and practices, ensuring that they are adhered to and effectively communicated to all employees. The supervisor will also be responsible for overseeing and assigning employee training and orientation programs, ensuring that new hires are adequately prepared for their roles. Additionally, the supervisor will manage the administration of compensation and benefits programs, making recommendations for changes or enhancements as necessary to meet the evolving needs of the workforce. The Human Resources Supervisor will play a key role in budget management by submitting recommendations for personnel operations. They will coordinate the delivery of affirmative action and other employee relations programs, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The supervisor may also assist in preparing separation notices for employees who are leaving the company for cause and may conduct exit interviews to gather insights on employee turnover. Furthermore, the supervisor will prepare reports and recommend procedures aimed at reducing absenteeism and turnover rates. They may represent the company at personnel-related hearings and investigations, and support collective bargaining negotiations, ensuring that contract provisions are administered effectively at the location. This position requires a proactive approach to human resources management and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment.
