About the position

The Commercial HVAC/R Technician at Tech24 is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment. This role requires strong technical skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to excellent customer service. The technician will operate a company vehicle to travel to customer sites and ensure the safe operation of equipment while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Inspects the commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment and their related components to ensure safe operation.
• Communicates with customers and branch staff regarding the status of repairs to ensure the schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated.
• Completes service tickets according to procedures.
• Tracks truck stock to ensure needed parts are stocked on the vehicle.
• Sustains service vehicle, tools, and uniforms to Tech24 standards.
• Sets a positive example for less experienced and/or new technicians by being a Company advocate.
• Follows all company policies and procedures, particularly regarding safety.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Superb customer service skills.
• Dependable and able to work independently.
• Standard computer skills.
• Own industry's standard hand tools.
• Ability to climb ladders, work from heights, and crawl in tight quarters.
• Ability to travel extensively within the region.
• Mechanically inclined with a hunger to learn new techniques and approaches.
• Previous experience as a commercial HVAC and Refrigeration technician required.
• Universal EPA certification is required.
