About The Position

Loudoun Water is seeking an HVAC Technician to join the Plant Maintenance department. This role involves performing maintenance and repairs on a wide range of HVAC equipment, ensuring optimal operation and efficiency in providing water and wastewater services to customers in Loudoun County.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of education and training in HVAC systems.
• Two years of experience working with refrigeration equipment at a Technician level.
• Training in heating and air conditioning theory, electric controls, AC/DC voltage, and analogue/digital electronics.
• Ability to obtain a Virginia state HVAC Journeyman's license or higher within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
• Service electric motors and gas/electric heating units.
• Maintain heat pumps, hermetic compressors, and commercial furnaces.
• Repair boilers, burners, intake and exhaust fans, and hot water heaters.
• Work on economizers, humidifiers, and capacity controls.
• Service semi-hermetic compressors and package systems.
• Maintain split systems, flame safeguards, air compressors, and air driers.
• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on vacuum systems.
