About the position

The IEP Auditor, Audit Programs provides independent and objective assessment of internal controls governing business, operational, and safety processes. These roles collaborate with management, conduct routine and special reviews promoting risk management awareness, operational safety assurance, and help to develop actionable plans to resolve audit findings. The IEP Auditor works to support Alaska Air Group (AAG) by providing an independent and objective assessment of internal controls governing business, operational, and safety processes while working in a team. This role requires performing inquiries of subject matter experts to gain an understanding of business and operational processes and developing solutions to complex problems, including creating process documentation, identifying internal controls, and developing and executing test plans.

Responsibilities

  • Provide independent and objective assessment of internal controls governing business, operational, and safety processes.
  • Collaborate with management to conduct routine and special reviews.
  • Promote risk management awareness and operational safety assurance.
  • Develop actionable plans to resolve audit findings.
  • Perform inquiries of subject matter experts to understand business and operational processes.
  • Take initiative to develop solutions to complex problems.
  • Create process documentation and identify internal controls.
  • Develop and execute test plans.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in Safety, Operations or related area for Intermediate Level.
  • 4 years of experience in Safety, Operations, or related area for Senior Level.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related area, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
  • Bachelor's degree with a focus in aviation-related disciplines for Senior Level.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Professional curiosity and personal accountability for results.
  • Ability to understand complex business and operational processes.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
