About the position

Baker Tilly professionals on our Digital Team provide management consulting and implementation services for mid- to large-size companies. This fast-paced team is looking for individuals that can lead our teams through challenging and rewarding projects that deliver transformative solutions to our clients through implementation of the IFS Cloud software. Thanks to the rapid growth of Baker Tilly's Digital group, we have an exciting opportunity for a IFS ERP Project Manager to join our practice. The IFS ERP Project Manager will be a valued leader in one of our most dynamic markets. Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage large-scale projects, developing and maintaining detailed project plans and schedules, and managing project teams to successfully deliver transformational projects
  • Serve as the key liaison and communication channel between project teams and leadership
  • Drive day-to-day project activities for the project team leveraging the detailed project plan, Baker Tilly's implementation methodology and your knowledge of leading ERP projects; manage the project schedule and resources
  • Work collaboratively with client Project Management to establish roles and responsibilities, define project schedules, and coordinate the scheduling and execution of project workshops and meetings
  • Lead teams through all phases of project delivery including planning, functional and technical solution scoping, business process and functional solution design, technical design and development, data migration planning and execution, test planning and execution, organizational readiness activities, end-user training plan development and delivery, cutover planning and execution, and post go-live support
  • Lead and coordinate the development and completion of project deliverables including detailed project plans, data migration plans, solution designs, functional specifications, test plans, end-user training plans, and cutover and support plans
  • Identify, communicate and manage project issues and risks, and drive their resolution through proactive planning, communication and mitigation, partnering with functional and technical leads and working together to collaboratively develop resolution and mitigation strategies
  • Lead preparation and facilitate internal and external team meetings and content including weekly status report and team status meetings, Project Management planning meetings and Steering Committee meetings
  • Manage overall project scope to the defined statement of work and work plan including detailed scope definition and scope governance processes
  • Develop detailed project budgets and forecasts, monitor weekly hours, and maintain budget to actual tracking including analyzing and escalating budget issues and risks
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to consultants and client team members throughout the implementation project; support the growth and development of team members and clients through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping team members grow and meet their professional goals
  • Utilize your ERP, project management and business experience to guide sound business decisions regarding process design, configuration and issue resolution; collaborate with solution architects, functional leads and business analyst team members to resolve cross-functional strategic decisions and issues
  • Lead the planning, preparation and delivery of configuration, testing, data conversion and training activities
  • Lead and participate in the development, deployment and continuous improvement of our implementation methodology, training and toolkit through internal initiatives
  • Support robust change management programs, including developing communications and planning training programs, and working with dedicated Organizational Change Managers, to increase adoption for our clients with the IFS Cloud Solution

  • Become IFS Certified in one IFS Cloud module (Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Service or Projects) and maintain recertification annually

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Business Management, Management/Computer Information Systems or related field
  • Seven (7) or more years of related experience in internal or external consulting roles with a focus on hands-on implementation and project management roles with ERP or similar solutions; with a preference for IFS Applications and IFS Cloud experience, or SAP, Oracle, Microsoft or Infor solution experience
  • IFS Cloud experience and IFS Practitioner Certification(s) preferred, or SAP, Oracle, Microsoft or Infor solution experience. Hands-on experience with software configuration, prototyping, and testing is a plus. Baker Tilly will invest in your certification if not currently certified
  • Direct experience in project management roles working on at least two end-to-end ERP software implementations through the full lifecycle of delivery, including planning, design, configuration, testing, training, cutover and support; experience utilizing defined and structured implementation and project management methodologies
  • Knowledge and experience working in one or more of our targeted industries, including Manufacturing and Distribution, Construction, or Aerospace and Defense
  • Experience in business process analysis and design in one or more of the following processes: Order to Cash, Plan to Produce, Procure to Pay, Project to Cash, Service to Cash, or Record to Report
  • Demonstrated team leadership skills with success leading large teams or small projects through project delivery, proactive engagement with project team members and Baker Tilly leaders regarding project status, executive messaging, collaborative problem solving, willingness to work side by side with Baker Tilly team members
  • Effective communication and facilitation skills, including development and delivery of communication content including status meetings and executive steering committee meetings; communicate effectively with client resources from hourly associates to C-suite
  • Demonstrated organization and task management skills including concurrent ownership of multiple aspects of project delivery and driving multiple projects or initiatives, driving team activities, tracking progress, holding teams accountable to dates and deadlines, and adapting plans to changing conditions or priorities
  • Ability to effectively manage project schedules and resources, including use of Outlook and other calendar tools, coordinating resources and schedules across multiple projects, and maintaining schedules on a weekly basis
  • Mastery and efficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project
  • Demonstrated documentation skills including thoroughness and quality of meeting notes, requirements capture, issues and actions updates, weekly status reporting and executive summary reporting
  • Demonstrated communication, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Ability to engage effectively with business and technical resources in planning and delivery, including the ability to quickly learn, analyze and develop solutions to requirements or problems
  • Demonstrated awareness and application of business ethics and integrity in daily work and decision making
  • Ability to travel up to 50%; Baker Tilly aligns work travel around project milestones and not recurring travel schedules
  • Must be willing to work non-traditional business hours for client demands on occasion
