KIPP NYC Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate World Languages Teacher (Spanish) for high school students. This full-time position is an immediate opening, aimed at fostering a rigorous and joyful learning environment. The teacher will be responsible for planning and executing a college preparatory curriculum that aligns with both the school's standards and New York State Standards, while also promoting critical thinking among students. The role involves creating thoughtful and rigorous daily lessons, assessing student progress, and effectively communicating results to students, families, and colleagues. In addition to classroom instruction, the teacher will provide individual and small group instruction to ensure that all students achieve mastery of the material. The teacher will model the school's values in all communications and demonstrate a commitment to a “whatever it takes” spirit to ensure student success. Advising a small group of students throughout their high school journey is also a key responsibility of this role. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching various levels of Spanish and/or French, possess strong interpersonal skills, and contribute positively to a collegial working environment.
