About the position

The Immunology Medical Science Liaison (MSL) at Kyowa Kirin serves as a vital link between the Medical Affairs department and the healthcare community. This role involves establishing and maintaining professional relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals, providing them with scientifically rigorous information about Kyowa Kirin's product portfolio. The MSL is responsible for ensuring the ethical dissemination of clinical information, facilitating speaker development, and supporting scientific exchanges, all while adhering to compliance guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, establish, and maintain professional relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.
  • Educate healthcare professionals on Kyowa Kirin's product portfolio.
  • Ensure the dissemination of transparent and scientifically rigorous information in a compliant manner.
  • Function as a regional medical/scientific resource and align external stakeholder needs with Kyowa Kirin resources.
  • Deliver educational resources and clinical information in response to established needs.
  • Facilitate speaker development and training.
  • Engage in scientific exchanges with healthcare professionals regarding Kyowa Kirin's products.
  • Provide scientific support at medical conferences and events.
  • Gather data to generate insights and competitive intelligence from field interactions.
  • Deliver internal educational training sessions for stakeholders on disease states and product information.
  • Build cross-functional relationships while adhering to compliance guidelines.
  • Engage in continued independent learning within the therapeutic area.

Requirements

  • Advanced clinical/science degree or healthcare professional credentials required (MD, PhD, RPh, PharmD, NP, PA, MS or equivalent), Doctorate preferred.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in MSL, field-based, or clinical positions preferred.
  • Experience in Allergy, Immunology, Dermatology, or Inflammatory Disease therapeutic areas preferred.
  • Knowledge of treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA regulations, and OIG guidelines preferred.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to manage and resolve conflict.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening, and presentation).
  • Results-oriented and team-oriented with a proven track record of success.
  • Current knowledge of industry, legal, and regulatory compliance guidelines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in developing and maintaining key opinion leader relationships.
  • In-depth knowledge of national/regional healthcare access environments and the pharmaceutical industry.
