About the position

Kahen Properties, a family-owned real estate management and development company, is seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as an In-House Leasing Agent. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in the real estate industry, primarily responsible for marketing and renting our properties. As a Leasing Agent, you will play a crucial role in showcasing our available units to prospective tenants and ensuring a smooth leasing process. In this role, you will conduct property tours, providing potential tenants with detailed information about rental terms, policies, and procedures. You will assist with the application process, which includes collecting necessary documents and conducting background checks. Additionally, you will prepare lease agreements and ensure that all required paperwork is completed accurately. A thorough knowledge of the property, including floor plans, amenities, and local area attractions, will be essential to effectively communicate with prospective tenants. Utilizing Yardi, you will track leads, follow up with prospects, and maintain customer information. Timely responses to inquiries from current and prospective tenants will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will also coordinate move-in and move-out processes, conducting inspections and documenting any damages. Marketing efforts will be part of your duties, including creating online listings and promoting available properties. Requirements

  • Previous experience in sales or customer service is preferred
  • Familiarity with real estate administrative processes is a plus
  • Knowledge of property leasing laws and regulations is advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have experience with Streeteasy
  • Proficiency in using leasing software such as Yardi or OneSite is desirable
  • Ability to upsell additional services or amenities to prospective tenants
