About The Position

The Industrial Hygienist will conduct various industrial hygiene activities, including air sampling, noise surveys, and the preparation of health and safety plans. This role involves providing data management and evaluation support to project managers in areas such as toxicology, risk assessment, and emergency response. The successful candidate will apply scientific methodologies to ensure compliance with health and safety standards while managing projects with minimal guidance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, safety, or a related science field.
  • 2-5 years of experience as an Industrial Hygienist I or equivalent.
  • Advanced computer and data management skills in a Windows-based platform.
  • HAZWOPER certification (can be obtained post-hire).
  • DISA clearance (can be obtained post-hire).
  • TWIC clearance (can be obtained post-hire).
  • Current driver's license and ability to obtain a passport.
  • Completion of all job-specific OSHA training (can be obtained post-hire).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in emergency response operations.
  • Membership in professional organizations related to industrial hygiene.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative industrial hygiene/safety surveys.
  • Perform air sampling and monitoring, noise surveys, and indoor air quality assessments.
  • Review and prepare Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and site-specific health and safety plans.
  • Provide data management and evaluation support to project managers in industrial hygiene and toxicology.
  • Conduct environmental assessments, including soil and wipe sampling.
  • Explain and apply OSHA regulations and other occupational health standards with minimal guidance.
  • Calibrate and operate standard industrial hygiene equipment.
  • Maintain compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies and regulations.
  • Function as an Emergency Response Team member and be available for emergency response upon request.
