About the position

The Industrial Maintenance Technician position at Angelus Block involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation of machinery and mechanical support equipment. This full-time role requires electrical experience and focuses on maintaining production quality through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of various mechanical and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Completing preventive maintenance on production equipment including pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Locating sources of problems by listening to operators and observing equipment operation.
• Performing general electrical maintenance and troubleshooting electrical issues using testing devices.
• Repairing and replacing equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures according to Electrical Code and local regulations.
• Dismantling devices to remove defective parts using hand and power tools.
• Inspecting used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using measuring tools.
• Adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools and levels.
• Maintaining equipment parts, supplies, and inventory by communicating with the Plant Superintendent.
• Documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and needs of equipment or personnel to maintain continuity among shifts.
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures and using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Working towards a team environment and planning work effectively.

Requirements

• 5 years of electrician experience.
• High school diploma, GED, or trade school training.
• Familiarity with automation equipment such as pneumatics, cylinders, sensors, and relays.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine maintenance needs.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Experience with cutting, torching, welding, and fabricating with steel.
