About the position

The Project Manager at Conti is responsible for overseeing the completion of construction projects, ensuring effective delegation of tasks, maintaining client relations, and managing all aspects of project management. This role requires a strong background in automotive manufacturing and electrical installation, with a focus on resource management, team coordination, and effective communication with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and schedule labor, subcontractors, materials, and construction equipment for projects.
  • Set up and maintain job filing systems including contracts, specifications, estimates, and drawings.
  • Apply for necessary bonding and insurance for projects.
  • Prepare project summaries and maintain meeting minutes.
  • Initiate scheduled reports and maintain them throughout the job lifecycle.
  • Assist purchasing in updates to material status reports and perform monthly billing schedules.
  • Implement safety programs and maintain subcontracts.
  • Coordinate project activities among field crews, shop crews, and office personnel.
  • Establish a chain of command and ensure all team members have necessary resources.
  • Maintain communication with project owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

Requirements

  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience as a Project Manager in automotive manufacturing or electrical installation.
  • Minimum of 5 years of PM experience in automotive manufacturing electrical installation or wastewater treatment plant electrical installation, or 10 years in similar roles if the former is not available.
  • Ability to estimate, schedule, order materials, and track project progress.
  • Texas Master's License is a bonus but not required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working as an electrician.
  • Experience in construction of refinery, wastewater, or petrochemical plants.
