About the position

The Informatica ETL Developer at V2Soft is responsible for creating and managing ETL processes using Informatica to load data into Salesforce applications. This role involves working with Oracle databases, participating in the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and providing support and documentation for data operations. The developer will troubleshoot data issues, communicate effectively with team members, and ensure the successful deployment of ETL code.

Responsibilities

  • Create Informatica mappings with Oracle database objects to load data into the Salesforce application.
  • Create/Use connections to retrieve data from various sources.
  • Work with relational databases like Oracle to analyze and troubleshoot data issues.
  • Participate in all phases of SDLC from requirements gathering to data migration.
  • Provide documented operation and user procedures and perform training for users.
  • Create data flow diagrams and document implementation instructions for deployments.
  • Run jobs and procure test data for code testing.
  • Support occasional off-hours production deployments for the dev ops team.
  • Import/export objects using IICS and understand the impacts of options.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze error logs and job results.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of ETL experience using Informatica IICS.
  • 5-7 years of practical experience with SQL on relational databases.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using Salesforce Developer Console with SOQL.
  • Experience maintaining production systems.
  • Data modeling experience.
  • Creating and maintaining business reports.
  • Intermediate-level expertise in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables).
  • Experience running Salesforce DataLoader.
  • Experience promoting code between environments.
  • Familiarity with MSDOS batch files for IICS jobs.
  • Knowledge of IICS server configurations.
  • Ability to analyze and retrieve full production error logs.
