About the position

The Information Systems Installation Sr Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and security of our nation by overseeing the installation and maintenance of critical equipment and systems. This position is responsible for supervising installation and assembly work performed by technicians, ensuring that all systems are installed correctly and function as intended. The Sr Manager will independently maintain equipment and systems, conducting thorough testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve any issues that arise. This role requires a deep understanding of technical equipment, IT assets, and systems within the facilities, as well as a commitment to supporting the innovation of these systems and controls. In addition to installation responsibilities, the Sr Manager will investigate equipment and system failures to determine the root cause and necessary repair work. This includes troubleshooting a wide variety of hardware and software problems, as well as interconnectivity issues. The role also involves performing integrity testing and engaging with customers to gather information about their problems, ensuring that solutions are tailored to their needs. The Sr Manager will manage a team of employees who provide information system solutions and technical support across various functional areas, fostering a collaborative and effective work environment. To succeed in this role, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, or computer science, along with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on IT experience. Preferred candidates will have experience in deploying and maintaining extensive global networks and systems, with a strong grasp of IC ITE services. Proficiency in equipment, software, and systems installations, as well as troubleshooting, customer relationship management, change management, risk management, and IT service management, is essential. Knowledge of ICD 503, DCID 6/3, DIA-CAP, and NIST standards is crucial for ensuring robust information assurance and compliance. Excellent communication, teamwork, leadership, conflict management, and critical thinking skills are also necessary for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise installation and assembly work done by technicians.
  • Independently maintain equipment and systems, conducting testing and troubleshooting.
  • Investigate equipment and system failures to determine the cause and necessary repairs.
  • Troubleshoot a wide variety of hardware and software problems and interconnectivity issues.
  • Perform integrity testing and interview customers to gather information about problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, or computer science.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on IT experience.
  • Experience in the deployment and maintenance of extensive global networks and systems.
  • Proficiency in equipment, software, and systems installations.
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting, customer relationship management, change management, risk management, and IT service management.
  • Knowledge of ICD 503, DCID 6/3, DIA-CAP, and NIST standards for information assurance and compliance.
  • Proficiency in classified IT environments and IT Asset Management.

Nice-to-haves

  • ITIL v4 certification desired.
  • Experience with Equipment Life Cycles.
