About the position
The Information Technology Specialist (Systems Analysis) position at the Department of the Air Force is primarily responsible for planning, designing, and implementing IT network systems and infrastructure to meet the business requirements of customer organizations. This role involves evaluating network infrastructure, leading project teams, and serving as a technical advisor to functional users of IT.
Responsibilities
- Perform continuing evaluation of network infrastructure to define opportunities for new or improved business process solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies and participate in special projects.
- Serve as project team lead.
- Act as a technical advisor to functional users of IT.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Must have IT-related experience demonstrating attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem-solving skills.
- One year of specialized experience at the GS-09 level or equivalent, applying a broad range of IT principles, methods, and systems concepts.
- Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in relevant fields, or a degree with a minimum of 24 semester hours in specified fields.
