About the position

Carollo Engineers, Inc. is seeking an engineering intern to support water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Seattle. The intern will work on various engineering planning and design tasks related to the conveyance of water and wastewater, contributing to sustainable and resilient community development.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering work in water and wastewater pump stations and conveyance infrastructure.
• Work on engineering planning and design projects.
• Prepare reports and develop plans and specifications.
• Prepare cost estimates for various projects.
• Conduct hydraulic system modeling.
• Develop alternative analysis of design options.
• Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Highly motivated, articulate, and a self-starter.
• Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Effective communication with peers and mentors.
• Enrolled or completed junior year of civil or mechanical engineering degree program.
