About the position

The Injury Management/Benefits Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support and coordination for workers' compensation and employee benefits. This role involves documenting and processing incidents and claims related to occupational injuries, maintaining personnel records, and managing leave policies. The coordinator will also educate employees about benefits and assist with open enrollment and company events related to benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Document, process, and report on incidents and claims associated with occupational injuries or illnesses.
  • Compile and maintain personnel records.
  • Record data for each employee and prepare reports for employment records.
  • File employment records, search employee files, and furnish information to authorized persons.
  • Process and verify accuracy of workers' compensation claims according to established standards and guidelines.
  • Create and maintain claims files and prepare documents for internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and produce incident and claims-related reports for management review and analysis.
  • Manage leave policies, including FMLA, short-term disability, long-term disability, and paid parental leave.
  • Interpret and explain the benefits package to new hires and provide ongoing education to employees about changes in the plans.
  • Assist with employee benefit profiles in Paycom.
  • Coordinate lunch and learns and company events related to benefits.
  • Assist with open enrollment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in HR or a similar environment preferred.
  • Workers Compensation Insurance License (preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of state and federal law and regulations related to workers' compensation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
