About the position

The Operations Coordinator at Insomniac Music Group is a dynamic role focused on supporting the day-to-day operations of various music label imprints. This position requires a proactive individual with a passion for electronic dance music and experience in the entertainment industry, particularly in label coordination. The role involves managing A&R processes, coordinating marketing efforts for releases, and handling administrative tasks related to accounts and royalties. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of Insomniac's innovative music events.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations on several imprints including A&R management and distribution.
  • Coordinate with marketing for release rollouts.
  • Submit Accounts Receivable invoices for approval and catalog new expenses.
  • Allocate royalty statements and sales from various sources.
  • Handle meta-data entry and manage publishing and recording catalogs.
  • Coordinate with the legal department to prepare and track paperwork status.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of label compilations and mixes.
  • Upload label content to platforms like Soundcloud and YouTube.
  • Coordinate new artist ingestion and release setup.
  • Collaborate with the pub & sync team on various initiatives.
  • Perform other responsibilities and projects as assigned by the Operations Manager and Director.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in label and radio or related entertainment industry experience.
  • Passion for electronic dance music is essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at various stages and scopes.
  • Creative thinking and original idea generation for audience communication.
  • Extensive knowledge of dance music genres and the label/radio market.
  • Proficient in metadata entry and recording equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in-person and online.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing time, cost, risk, quality, and resources.
  • Experience in promoting offline events and music is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of web and mobile technologies, rich media, and social platforms.
  • Proficiency in MAC/PC and Microsoft Office Suite, as well as Google Docs.
  • Basic understanding of project management tools like MS Project, JIRA, or Basecamp.
