About the position

The Instructional Design Consultant will be responsible for planning, developing, conducting, and evaluating a variety of complex and challenging training and development programs for both management and employees. This role requires a deep understanding of instructional design principles and the ability to create effective training solutions that meet the diverse needs of the organization. The consultant will conduct thorough needs assessments and task analyses to identify the specific training requirements of various stakeholders, ensuring that the training programs are tailored to address the unique challenges faced by the organization. In addition to developing technology training programs for non-technical audiences, the consultant will establish collaborative working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including trainees and management. The role involves formulating specific objectives that will serve as benchmarks for evaluating the effectiveness of training results. Staying current with the latest training theories and practices is essential, as is the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to inform training strategies. The consultant will also be expected to demonstrate strong communication skills, both orally and in writing, and to effectively facilitate training sessions for groups of varying sizes. Utilizing group dynamic skills and techniques will be crucial in fostering an engaging learning environment. The ability to reason logically and creatively, along with employing a variety of analytical skills, will be necessary to meet program goals related to management and employee training, as well as improving organizational productivity. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and process stakeholders is a key aspect of this role, as is the ability to manage multiple complex work assignments simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, conduct, and evaluate a variety of complex management and employee training programs.

Requirements

  • Experience in creating online multimedia training using applications such as Articulate 360.
  • Two years of recent experience designing, developing, and delivering training curriculum and materials for a software system.
  • Two years of experience working with software applications and computer systems essential to the functional area.
