About the position

The Instructional Designer at Alamo Colleges District is responsible for providing instructional design expertise to develop and support hybrid and online courses. This role involves assisting faculty in designing lessons, creating instructional modules, and adapting courses for both traditional and online delivery formats. The position aims to enhance the educational experience for a diverse student body, contributing to the district's mission of empowering communities for success.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional design expertise in the development of hybrid and online courses.
• Assist faculty in designing lessons and instructional modules.
• Develop learning resources for courses.
• Retool courses and course segments for traditional and online delivery.
• Collaborate with faculty to enhance course effectiveness and student engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of relevant experience, education, and training.
• Two years of job-related experience in instructional design or educational technology.
• Valid driver's license and insurability through the organization's insurers.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in instructional design, educational technology, computer science, communications, or a related field.
• Experience with Quality Matters Rubric and Higher Ed Peer Reviewer training.
