About the position

The Instructional Designer II at Orkin will play a crucial role in developing talent through effective training solutions. This position is part of a high-performing Leadership Development team, focusing on creating customer-centric learning and development programs that align with the company's culture and strategic goals. The role involves both instructor-led training and eLearning development, ensuring that training initiatives meet business objectives and enhance employee performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high quality hard and soft skill solutions including instructor-led training and level I (basic) eLearning.
  • Participate in needs analysis to identify training requirements.
  • Define learning and/or performance objectives aligned with desired business goals.
  • Execute project management protocols, procedures, and guidelines to complete projects on time and on budget.
  • Co-facilitate train-the-trainer classes, super-user classes, and/or end-user classes.
  • Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and implement or submit recommendations for improvements.
  • Manage relationships with customers to meet and exceed expectations in the services and solutions provided.
  • Contribute to design and development by continuously learning and staying abreast of relevant trends, technologies, and business intelligence.
  • Partner with training coordinator/LMS Administrator to ensure all course activities are completed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in developing e-learning courses and classroom training materials.
  • Experience with SCORM compliant authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate or Storyline.
  • Proficiency in designing and facilitating asynchronous activities in a blended learning solution.
  • Ability to analyze needs and develop blended learning solutions that include self-directed and virtual instructor-led learning using common instructional design models like ADDIE.
