The Instructional Designer and Technologist (IDT) position aims to design engaging and effective online learning experiences. The IDT will use current instructional design theories and methodologies to work with faculty and Program Advisors in creating online programs and courses. The role also involves implementing Quality Matters (QM) to enhance the educational quality of our online and asynchronous and synchronous programs. The IDT will be responsible for designing custom multimedia content, implementing best practices in online course design, ensuring quality standards are met, and providing training and support in educational technologies. Additionally, the IDT will collaborate with faculty to assess needs, create original content, modify existing materials, and design course documents such as curriculum maps, storyboards, and mock-ups to guide the course development process. The Instructional Designer will also provide training and support for learning technologies and collaborate with faculty and staff to develop engaging and inclusive online and hybrid learning experiences. This role emphasizes adherence to Quality Matters (QM) standards and the integration of multimedia tools to support varied learning styles and promote student success in a tribal college/university (TCU).
