About the position

As the Instructional Designer for Foremost Farms USA, you will lead the training programs and initiatives for the cooperative, focusing on designing, developing, and implementing training programs that support employee skill development and operational efficiency. This role involves collaboration with subject matter experts to create engaging learning solutions tailored to the needs of the workforce in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the design and development of training programs for manufacturing employees, including operator training and for leaders.
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts and production leaders to identify training needs and ensure alignment with operational goals.
  • Facilitates training to guide employees to make progress and succeed.
  • Translates complex technical information into clear, understandable training materials.
  • Leads multiple complex training projects across multiple locations, ensuring deadlines are met and learning objectives are achieved.
  • Manages the cooperative's learning technologies and leverages digital tools to create engaging training experiences.
  • Develops innovative eLearning courses, including multimedia content.
  • Acts as the central data source for dynamic reporting on training within the cooperative.
  • Manages learning assessments to measure learning outcomes and evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Creates job qualifications to understand which employees are qualified to perform certain tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Training, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in instructional design, preferably in a manufacturing setting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) through the Association of Talent Development preferred.
  • Master's degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • Experience in developing training for manufacturing jobs.
