The Instructional Systems Designer II is responsible for creating and implementing effective learning programs and materials to enhance the knowledge, skills, and performance of individuals within an organization. This role involves close collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify training needs, develop instructional objectives, design curriculum, and select appropriate delivery methods. The designer will be tasked with ensuring that the training materials are engaging and effective, catering to various delivery methods such as instructor-led, computer-based, web-based, and mobile training. In this position, the designer will also be responsible for conducting thorough analyses of training and media requirements, researching and identifying data sources for instructional material development, and acquiring supporting materials from SMEs. The role requires the development of training objectives and test methods, ensuring the integrity of task analysis, training requirements, instructional materials, and evaluation plans. The designer will create computer-based training, web-based training, and electronic performance support systems, while also developing flow diagrams and storyboards to outline the instructional design process. The Instructional Systems Designer II must possess the ability to solve complex problems through ingenuity and innovation, work within an agile development environment, and scale design efforts to meet production timelines and budget constraints without compromising instructional integrity. Additionally, the designer is expected to take responsibility for their own self-development by engaging in available training opportunities provided by the company.
