About the position

Terradepth Inc. is seeking an experienced Instrument/Electrical Technician (IET) to join our Subsea Robotics (SSR) team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing electronic assembly startup, calibration, functional, and safety testing on electrical and electronic systems for our subsea vehicles, as well as supporting and testing equipment. As a pioneering ocean robotics company, we specialize in the development and operation of uncrewed underwater vehicles (UUVs) and the creation of advanced seabed data processing, management, and dissemination solutions. Your expertise in electrical power and control systems will be crucial to our mission of increasing human interaction with the ocean and empowering society with vital ocean data. As an IET, you will assemble and install new electrical and electronic assemblies, wire harnesses, and other electrical equipment based on electrical schematics and component layout diagrams. You will also maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair existing electrical and electronic assemblies. Your role will involve assisting in subsea vehicle testing and maintenance, ensuring that all work is conducted in a tidy environment while adhering to industry regulations. While the majority of your work will be conducted in-house, some travel may be required for subsea operations and field repairs, anticipated to be less than 20% of your time. At Terradepth, we value team cohesion and cultural fit as much as technical competence. We are a diverse group of ocean enthusiasts, technologists, and problem solvers who are dedicated to advancing ocean exploration. We believe in supporting and investing in our employees to help them achieve their career goals. If you are passionate about building and testing electrical and electronic assemblies for Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs), and survey boats, we encourage you to apply and join our mission to meet the world's unmet needs in subsea robotics.
