About the position

The Claims Service Specialist role at GEICO's Virginia Beach office is designed for individuals who are motivated and empathetic, focusing on providing exceptional customer service during the claims process. This hybrid position involves extensive training in-office for the first 6-9 months, followed by a flexible work schedule that includes four days in the office and one day working from home. The specialist will be responsible for collecting facts about accidents, investigating claims, and supporting policyholders through their claims journey, ensuring they receive the assistance they need during challenging times.

Responsibilities

  • Collect facts about accidents and investigate claim details.
  • Gather statements from involved parties regarding the claims process.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to policyholders.
  • Assist policyholders during their claims process with patience and attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively with customers both verbally and in writing.

Requirements

  • Experience in providing outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume call center environment.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
