About the position
The Insurance Claims Specialist at DoorDash will be a key member of the Corporate Risk & Insurance function, focusing on managing auto insurance claims. This role involves collaborating with insurance carriers and third-party claims administrators to develop a comprehensive strategy for claims handling. The position requires prior insurance experience, particularly in injury and property damage claims, and is part of a rapidly growing team dedicated to managing risk and safety within the company.
Responsibilities
- Review loss reports and supporting materials for workers' compensation and occupational accidents.
- Address escalating incidents by identifying potential issues, assessing risk severity, and taking appropriate mitigation steps.
- Contribute to process improvements and provide constructive input regularly.
- Partner with leadership to manage ongoing projects, setting goals, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Enter accurate data in CRMs, G-Suite, and related tools.
- Manage multiple operating systems simultaneously.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience handling bodily injury claims.
- 2+ years of experience managing personal lines, commercial lines, or general liability claims.
- Experience working with or for a gig or sharing economy company.
- Experience handling high-priority escalations and providing prompt resolutions.
- Enthusiasm for Insurance.
