About the position

The Insurance Premium Auditor position at WAHVE offers experienced insurance professionals the opportunity to work remotely while utilizing their expertise in premium auditing. This role is designed for individuals looking to transition into retirement without leaving the workforce, providing flexibility in scheduling and a supportive work environment. The position involves conducting audits of insurance policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and communicating with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits of insurance policies by evaluating the insured's business operation.
  • Examine, verify, and record pertinent classification-related data from financial/business records.
  • Review and summarize submitted information from insureds to determine correct exposures for all classifications.
  • Analyze dispute information received from agents or insureds who contest audit results.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers regarding exposures, classification changes, or general auditing procedure questions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory, and procedural requirements.
  • Evaluate system access and management control reports.

Requirements

  • 25 years of full-time work experience in the insurance industry.
  • 10 most current years of premium audit experience with Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance carrier or MGU in an auditor role.
  • Proven experience with problem solving, analyzing data, and recommending corrective measures.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Workers' compensation law.
  • General Liability premium audit experience.
