About the position

The Insurance Premium Auditor position at Sedgwick involves conducting premium audits for various types of insurance, including workers' compensation and general liability. Auditors work on-site or virtually with clients to ensure that the policyholder's premium accurately reflects their exposure. This role requires a flexible schedule and the ability to manage assignments across a designated territory, with compensation based on billable hours or per audit basis.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality and timely premium audits and quality reviews.
  • Conduct physical, virtual, telephone, and voluntary audits based on client needs.
  • Review financial and payroll data to ensure compliance with state regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure proper class codes and specific client requirements are met during audits.
  • Write associated reports for completed audits.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years' experience within the premium audit industry.
  • Knowledge of all lines of coverage including Workers' Compensation, General Liability, Auto, and Garage.
  • Ability to organize and manage a reasonable territory (typically 60-mile radius).
  • Ability to work a flexible, on-demand schedule during regular business hours.
  • Strong analytical and interpretive skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Industry designation such as APA, CIPA, or CPCU.
  • WCIRB CompEssentials certification.
  • Any other relevant licenses and/or certifications.
