About the position

The Insurance Service Representative at AAA The Auto Club Group is responsible for providing high-level support to the Insurance Agency and its members by servicing existing insurance accounts. This role involves retention calls, processing applications, renewals, and amendments, resolving customer issues, and promoting various insurance and financial products. The representative will work in a team environment to ensure customer satisfaction and will be based in an office setting, primarily servicing members in person.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level support to the Insurance Agency and members by servicing existing insurance accounts.
  • Perform retention calls and process applications, renewals, and amendments.
  • Resolve customer problems and sell membership and financial products.
  • Provide price quotes on all insurance products and factor in applicable rules and discounts.
  • Take insurance payments and respond to customers' insurance inquiries.
  • Promote cross-sale opportunities and process customer policies efficiently.
  • Conduct outbound promotional and retention call activities as requested by management.
  • Participate in office events to generate insurance revenue and improve member awareness of products.
  • Maintain and service insurance policies and respond to inquiries regarding insurance availability and coverage.
  • Prepare insurance proposals, policy changes, and billing clarifications.

Requirements

  • Current Property & Casualty Insurance license.
  • Successful completion of Customer Service, Insurance, and Membership training within 6 months of hire.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in providing customer-focused service and processing insurance applications, renewals, and amendments.
  • Ability to respond to billing and coverage questions and process monetary transactions.
  • Knowledge of insurance terminology, general insurance regulations, and underwriting procedures.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office products and performing mathematical calculations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a high-volume customer service environment.
  • Familiarity with insurance systems and membership systems (e.g., PPS, POS, IMS, IPM).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
