About the position

The Enterprise Marketing Strategist will play a key role in shaping Huntington's marketing efforts for strategic initiatives leading to business growth and expansion. This position is crucial for developing and implementing marketing plans that drive business through new initiatives, aligning with the strategic needs of Huntington and impacting multiple lines of business. The strategist will lead a cross-functional team to understand business goals, build marketing plans to achieve those goals, implement them, and then measure and scale the results. In this role, the strategist will build new initiatives from the ground up by understanding business goals, market trends, consumer behavior, and the company's strategic direction. They will lead cross-functional teams from Product, Data & Analytics, Marketing, and Digital to create and execute comprehensive marketing plans. A significant aspect of the role involves building the go-to-market approach to ensure seamless customer experiences while driving business results and enhancing brand awareness. The strategist will also develop customer segmentation, targeting, and contact strategies to maximize the performance of key segments. Effective communication with stakeholders is essential to build awareness of the marketing strategy and its contribution to the business. The strategist will develop complex business cases for new marketing strategies, including testing and financial return, and will be responsible for translating ideas into actionable plans to achieve desired outcomes. This highly strategic position requires a candidate who is adept at using data, business goals, and customer insights to build successful marketing plans, demonstrating a passion for developing innovative marketing strategies from scratch.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional team to understand business goals and build marketing plans to achieve those goals.
  • Implement and measure marketing plans, scaling successful initiatives.
  • Build new marketing initiatives from the ground up by analyzing business goals, market trends, and consumer behavior.
  • Create and execute comprehensive marketing plans in collaboration with teams from Product, Data & Analytics, Marketing, and Digital.
  • Develop customer segmentation, targeting, and contact strategies to maximize performance of key segments.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to build awareness of the marketing strategy and its contribution to the business.
  • Develop complex business cases for new marketing strategies, including testing and financial return.
  • Translate ideas into actionable plans to achieve desired outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in marketing.
  • Experience working closely with the insights team to design and execute learning plans that yield clear outcomes.
  • Experience partnering with the analytics team to understand the return on marketing investment.
