About the position
Be a part of one of the most talented teams at IGT as an Integration Engineer I and help us deliver exciting and challenging new features. As a member of the Game Platform Engineering team, you will be responsible for helping us deliver new features that enable world-class games on the IGT Ascent platform. The software you will be working on is the beating heart of casino gaming machines, managing everything from metering and configuration to systems interfaces using industry-standard protocols. Because of the wide scope of responsibility for this software system, you will have lots of opportunities to work on new and exciting features as well as help us to improve and modernize existing components.
Responsibilities
- Testing of the Platform Engineering software along with any hardware peripheral devices needed.
- Troubleshooting of hardware, software and communications, both Ethernet and serial.
- Attend and participate in technical meetings.
- Moving and placing slot machines and poker machines (these weigh over 100 lbs).
- Parts ordering for the lab and platform engineering team.
- Support of the lab or conduct technical analyses, engineering, or field issues as directed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Time management skills
- Communication skills
- Problem-solving skills including hardware and software.
Nice-to-haves
- PC component knowledge
- Basic networking skills.
- The ability to read a schematic.
