LiveWire is seeking a Vehicle Electrical Systems Integration Engineer to join our Engineering team. This position requires a relentless drive for success while working in an efficient, dynamic, and systems-focused engineering environment. The engineer will be responsible for envisioning and implementing the electrical system of the vehicle, transforming it into the 'must have' EV for the segment, and driving the team to successfully integrate features, functions, content, and designs that deliver this system architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and model concepts to fulfill customer needs based on LiveWire technology.
  • Define system interaction between multiple components and document those requirements for implementation.
  • Support the creation of 'System Function Documents' (SFDs) to define expected behavior between components.
  • Define system schematics (block diagrams) for specific sub-systems.
  • Verify vehicle level system designs through MiL analysis and review.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure correct implementation of vehicle components based on system design.
  • Support the development and maintenance of requirements and associated traceability and test case results in a requirements tool like Helix.
  • Provide status, project updates, and issue tracking using tools like Jira and Smartsheet.
  • Provide technical input to design engineers for integration to meet vehicle and customer requirements.
  • Ensure designs meet requirements for modular and flexible design of components for maximum re-use across programs and vehicle platforms.
  • Resolve complex technical issues and provide solutions using creative processes and analytical methods.
  • Participate in component design reviews for adherence to system direction.
  • Develop and document best practices and standards for electrical systems and integration.
