Integration Engineer

About the position

This position involves developing and maintaining integration services using AWS Transfer family with various protocols such as SFTP, FTPS, FTP, and AS2. The role requires setting up AWS Lambda runtimes and programming in Python, as well as configuring and managing AWS services including EC2, security groups, IAM roles & policies, load balancers, and Route 53. The candidate will lead efforts to establish and maintain integration architecture guidelines and provide end-to-end support for solution integration. This includes designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting solutions, as well as custom developing monitoring and alerting solutions. The role also involves participation in defects and incident root cause analyses, providing production support, and building integration services platforms using native services. A strong knowledge of high-availability, load-balancing, and failover configurations is essential, along with an understanding of team development best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integration services using AWS Transfer family using SFTP, FTPS, FTP, and AS2 protocols.
• Setup AWS Lambda runtimes, Python programming.
• Configure and manage AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, security groups, IAM roles & policies, load balancers, and Route 53.
• Lead efforts to establish, define, maintain, and communicate integration architecture guidelines, principles, standards and best practices across multiple product teams as they migrate to the cloud.
• Provide end-to-end support for solution integration, including designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting solutions.
• Custom develop monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Participate in defects and incident root cause analyses.
• Provide production support including on-call rotation.
• Build Integration services platform using native services.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of high-availability, load-balancing and failover configurations across application, infrastructure, and platform components.
• Maintain clear understanding of and experience with team development best practices to include peer reviews processes and version control systems.
• Build solutions in accordance with Bank security policies that mitigate risk and increase efficiencies.
• Exercise judgement to escalate risk-based decisions appropriately.
• Experience with Infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform and GitLab pipelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or other technical degree.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in designing and developing file-based integration services using AWS Transfer Family (Lambda/Python), SNS, Grafana, IBM SFG, Secure Transport.
• 1+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, GitLab).
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills; strong and demonstrated interpersonal skills to include influence, collaboration, accountability, and critical thinking.
• Must be a U.S Citizen or a Green Card holder with intent to become a U.S Citizen.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with IBM Sterling File Gateway with implementations leveraging both On-Prem servers and AWS EC2's.
• Experience with IBM Secure Proxy, Axway Secure Transport, Connect Direct, Sterling Control Center.
