Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) in the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, or any State in the U.S.
  • At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
  • Experience providing construction engineering support for capital improvement projects and facilities major renovations.
  • Experience performing technical and administrative oversight of construction contracts from conception through close-out.
  • Experience monitoring construction contractor quality and safety programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in preparing and presenting briefs related to scopes of work, design reviews, and contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor project budget and time constraints, initiating planning and corrective actions as necessary.
  • Provide technical support for claims, disputes, and terminations processing, negotiation, and resolution.
  • Prepare contractor performance evaluations and process awards for outstanding performance.
  • Coordinate delivery, acceptance, inspection, and installation of Government furnished equipment.
  • Assist the IPT PM in managing Post Construction Award Services (PCAS).
  • Coordinate review and approval of technical 'Government-approved' submittals in a timely manner.
  • Prepare government position for contract negotiations or modifications to existing construction contracts.
