About the position
The R & D Engineering Intern will support the testing of product capabilities and durability by assisting in the installation of products or components on test stands and monitoring their performance. The role also involves preparing, calibrating, and attaching instrumentation to gather test data effectively.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing products for testing of capability and durability.
- Install products or components on test stands for testing.
- Monitor the performance of the product or component being tested.
- Prepare, calibrate, and attach instrumentation to products or components for data gathering.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in a bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, software, or computer engineering or related field.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledgeable in 3-D modeling, SolidWorks preferred.
- Basic knowledge in 2-D CAD, Draft Sight or AutoCAD preferred.
- Knowledgeable in creation of spreadsheets.
- Skilled in the use of data acquisition equipment, Dataq and National Instruments preferred.
- Proficient in the use of PLM, SmarTeam preferred.
