Internship - Manufacturing Engineer

About the position

Aerosonic is currently seeking an on-site Manufacturing Engineer Intern for our Clearwater, FL facility. The intern will be responsible for understanding and implementing design direction from Project Engineers using Solidworks or equivalent CAD software. The role involves following standard drawing practices to produce drawings for material fabrication, collecting and analyzing data to form conclusions and suggest next steps to meet product goals, discussing work products with appropriate staff members and management in Engineering and Operations, and performing test and evaluation tasks under the guidance of Project Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Understanding and implementing design direction from Project Engineers using Solidworks or equivalent CAD software
• Following standard drawing practices to produce drawings to be used to fabricate material
• Collecting and analyzing data to form conclusions and suggest next steps to meet product goals
• Discussing work products with appropriate staff members and management in Engineering and Operations
• Performing test and evaluation tasks under the guidance of Project Engineers

Requirements

• Manufacturing Engineer Degree at accredited university
• Must be available for full time for six months
• Must possess ability to work in and around an Engineering environment in a safe manner
• Must be able to work with ITAR products and related data without restriction
• Must have strong computer skills, including familiarity of office support programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Solidworks or equivalent CAD software)
• Strong problem-solving skills using sound judgement and attention to detail
