About the position

The position involves providing computer-aided drafting expertise primarily using AutoCAD and Revit software. The role includes working with project teams on structural design tasks, which encompass drafting designs for various structural components and systems. The candidate will engage in both 2D and 3D modeling, contributing to the overall design process while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide computer-aided drafting expertise using AutoCAD and Revit software.
• Collect data and assist in planning and problem-solving related to structural design.
• Draft designs for foundations, supports, steel framing, access platforms, stacks, pumping and piping systems, and industrial equipment.
• Create detailed drawings in both two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) formats.
• Assist with mechanical, electrical, or civil design as needed.

Requirements

• Pursuing an AA or AS degree, or related technical certificate, in CAD technology or a related field.
• At least one full-time semester remaining after internship.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness.
• Proficiency using current versions of AutoCAD.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work in a safe manner.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with 3D software such as Revit, CADWorx, Solidworks, etc.
• Familiarity with work on a variety of structural systems, including structural steel and reinforced concrete.
• Experience with drafting and design in other engineering disciplines, such as mechanical, civil, or electrical.
