About the position

The Interventional Gastroenterologist position at Loyola Medicine involves joining a nationally ranked Digestive Health program, focusing on performing minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders. The role requires excellent skills in general gastroenterology and the ability to conduct advanced interventional endoscopies. The ideal candidate will also have a commitment to teaching and mentoring, contributing to academic productivity within the institution.

Responsibilities

  • Perform interventional endoscopies including endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP).
  • Diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders using minimally invasive procedures.
  • Engage in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents.
  • Contribute to academic productivity and research initiatives.
  • Collaborate with faculty members at Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital.

Requirements

  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Gastroenterology.
  • Possess an Illinois medical license at the time of appointment.
  • Demonstrated skills in general gastroenterology and interventional procedures.
  • Commitment to teaching and mentoring.
