About the position

Eckler Cleaning Services is seeking an Inventory Assistant to join our team in Plainfield, IN. This part-time position is essential for ensuring that our cleaning teams are always well-prepared to deliver exceptional service to our clients. The Inventory Assistant will manage cleaning materials and equipment, maintaining inventory levels and ensuring that all supplies are readily available for our cleaning staff. This role requires a commitment of 3 to 8 hours per week, with a flexible schedule that allows for shifts after school or during other convenient times. In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining all supplies and equipment in inventory at readiness levels. This includes counting materials, equipment, and other supplies in stock, forecasting future supply needs, and submitting purchasing recommendations to leadership. You will also be tasked with keeping the supply area clean and organized, ensuring that supplies are stored according to health and safety standards. Additionally, you will perform maintenance and minor repairs on reusable equipment such as vacuums and laundry machines, launder reusable supplies, and maintain the washer and dryer. As with any role, duties and responsibilities may change, and new ones may be added at any time with or without advanced notice.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all supplies and equipment in inventory at readiness levels to ensure cleaning teams are always prepared for servicing client homes.
  • Count materials, equipment and other supplies in stock.
  • Forecast future supply needs and submit purchasing recommendations to leadership.
  • Keep supply area clean and well organized.
  • Ensure supplies are stored according to health and safety standards.
  • Perform maintenance and minor repairs on reusable equipment such as vacuums and laundry machines.
  • Launder reusable supplies.
  • Maintain washer and dryer.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 14 years old.
  • Have reliable transportation to the worksite.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Able to pass a background check if over the age of 18.
  • Well organized and detail-oriented.
  • Sufficiently able to read, write, and understand cleaning product labels and instructions.
